Healthy smile. Healthy you.

Brighter Futures is an ongoing initiative dedicated to improving the oral—dental—health of all Michigan citizens, with a special focus on children, seniors, expectant mothers, military veterans and other at-risk populations.

The mouth is a mirror to the overall health of the rest of our bodies. When our mouths are healthy, chances are our overall health is good too. On the other hand, poor oral health can often be an indicator of other health problems—some potentially serious.

Healthier people tend to have lower health care costs and are better prepared to succeed in the classroom, on the job and in most other aspects of daily life.

That’s why Brighter Futures is dedicated to improving the dental care and oral health of all Michigan children and adults through advocacy, philanthropy and education.
